| The Israeli Nonprofit sector is rapidly evolving from dependence on Diaspora largess to inter- and independence. While it includes organizations partially funded through overseas contributions, it is increasingly supported through Israeli sources, and is composed of a broad range of nonprofit organizations, foundations, research and training centers, and professional associations. |

|
| A unit of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, JDC-Israel engages in both capacity building for the Israeli public and nonprofit sectors, and the direct provision of social services supported in partnerships with Israeli government agencies, local communities, and indigenous funding sources. It conducts applied social research through the JDC-Brookdale Institute. |

| Established in 1997, Ben Gurion University’s ICTR is a primary source of information on the nonprofit sector. Conferences, research reports and policy papers are available to researchers, policy makers, professionals in the field, and interested individuals. |
