Coping with the Economic Situation:
Challenges for the Communal Service Professional

100 resource development professionals, executive directors and other communal service professionals in Israel attended an engaging one day seminar held on July 15 th, 2009 at the Maiersdorf Faculty Club, Hebrew University of Jerusalem's Mt. Scopus campus. 

Program highlights included:

• Prof. Dan Ben-David , Executive Director, Taub Center for Social Policy Studies in Israel and Professor of Economics, Tel Aviv University gave an engaging presentation about the economic crises, social gaps, and historic opportunities facing Israel. • Leah Golan , Director General of the Israel Dept., Jewish Agency for Israel, spoke about the challenges of the economic situation on the Agency and Israeli NGO's.
• Eytan Mizrachi , Director General, Israel Association of Community Centers, spoke about the challenges and opportunities facing community centers and other third sector organizations in Israel.
• Models and tools for coping with the challenging economic situation were presented in a panel presentation followed by more in-depth concurrent group discussions:
