10th WCJCS QUADRENNIAL CONFERENCE, JERUSALEM, 12-16 NOVEMBER 2003
The 2003 WCJCS Quadrennial Conference, themed "Professional Leadership Responds to Crises in Israel and Jewish Communities Worldwide", took place in Jerusalem between November 12-16, 2003, immediately preceeding UJC's General Assembly in Jerusalem. The conference drew over 500 Jewish professionals from 20 countries around the world.
The Conference included Plenaries, Forums and Professional Tracks.
The Plenaries and forums dealt with such issues as:
- Facing Crisis and Change in Israel
- Solutions for Jewish Communities at Risk
- A Changing European Jewry
- Competing Priorities in Jewish Life
- Terror: its consequences in Israel and Jewish communities worldwide
- Countries of Migration and Demographic Change
- Israel - Diaspora Relations
- Jewish Identity and Jewish Education
- Civil Society.
The Professional Tracks discussed different aspects of Aging, Building Community, Human Services, Jewish Education, Jewish Funders Network, Poverty and Social Exclusion, Professional Leadership Development, Women's Issues, and Holocaust Survivors.
